Share your IDE workspace with teammates for collaboration or review.
Creating a Share Link
- Click the Share button in the top navigation
- Choose permission level
- Set expiration (optional)
- Copy the generated link
Permission Levels

View Access
Recipients can:
- Browse files
- Read code
- See the file structure
Cannot:
- Make changes
- Run commands
- Access terminal
Full Access
Recipients can:
- Everything in View, plus:
- Edit files
- Save changes
- Use AI features
Cannot:
- Access terminal
- Run system commands
Terminal Access
Recipients can:
- Everything in Full, plus:
- Use integrated terminal
- Run commands
- Install packages
Use with trusted collaborators only.
Share Link Options
Expiration
Set when the link expires:
- 1 hour
- 24 hours
- 7 days
- 30 days
- Never (not recommended)
Password Protection
Optionally require a password to access the share.
Managing Shares
View Active Shares
- Click Share button
- See list of active share links
- View who accessed and when
Revoke Access
- Click Share button
- Find the share link
- Click Revoke
The link immediately stops working.
Collaboration Tips
For Code Review
- Create a View-level share
- Share link with reviewer
- Discuss in chat/meeting
- Revoke when done
For Pair Programming
- Create Full-level share
- Both can edit simultaneously
- Changes sync in real-time
- Revoke after session
For Debugging Help
- Create Terminal-level share (trusted teammate only)
- They can run commands to diagnose
- Revoke immediately after
Security Notes
- Share links are unique and unguessable
- Always use minimum necessary permissions
- Set expiration when possible
- Revoke shares you no longer need
- Terminal access should be rare and temporary
