Why Human Oversight?

Web automation can have real consequences:

Human oversight ensures you stay in control.

When Approval Is Required

Authentication Actions

Agentic Browser pauses before:

  • Entering usernames or passwords
  • Clicking login/signin buttons
  • Submitting authentication forms
  • Using saved credentials

Example:

Agent: I found the login form. Ready to enter:

Personal Information

Approval needed when entering:

  • Names and contact information
  • Addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • Any PII in forms

Financial Actions

Always paused before:

  • Clicking purchase/buy buttons
  • Entering payment information

Approval for:

Any form submission pauses if it contains:

  • Personal information
  • Irreversible actions

Configuring Oversight

Trust Levels

You can adjust oversight sensitivity:

Domain Allowlists

Pre-approve actions for trusted sites:

Trusted domains:

Actions on these domains skip approval
(except financial transactions)

Action Type Settings

Configure per action type:

Login forms: Always require approval
Contact forms: Require approval
Search boxes: Auto-approve
Navigation: Auto-approve

Best Practices

Review Before Approving

Always check:

  • Is this the right website?
  • Is the information correct?
  • Is this what I intended?

Don’t Rush

Take time to review, especially for:

  • Financial transactions
  • Personal data submission
  • Account actions

Use Modification

If something’s slightly wrong:

  • Don’t cancel and restart
  • Modify the specific detail
  • Approve the corrected action

Set Appropriate Trust Levels

  • New tasks: Use strict mode
  • Familiar workflows: Standard mode
  • Internal tools: Can use relaxed mode

Handling Sensitive Data

Passwords

Agentic Browser never:

  • Stores your passwords
  • Logs password entries
  • Displays passwords in plain text

When login is needed:

Agent: Please enter your password directly.
I'll wait for you to complete the login.

Credit Cards

Payment information:

  • Never auto-filled
  • Never stored
  • You enter manually

API Keys and Secrets

For authenticated APIs:

  • Enter credentials directly
  • Use environment variables
  • Never share in chat

Audit Trail

Action History

All approved actions are logged:

  • Timestamp
  • Action type
  • Values used (passwords masked)
  • Approval decision

Reviewing History

Access your action history:

  1. Click history icon in Agentic Browser
  2. Filter by date or action type
  3. See full details of each action

Export Logs

For compliance or review:

Export action log for date range
Include: approvals, modifications, cancellations
Format: CSV or JSON

Emergency Controls

Immediate Stop

Click the Stop button to:

  • Halt current action immediately
  • Pause the entire task
  • Keep browser state for review

Browser Reset

If something goes wrong:

  • Click Reset Browser
  • Clears current session
  • Starts fresh browser instance

Task Abort

Use Abort Task to:

  • Stop all agent activity
  • Cancel pending actions
  • Return to idle state
